Kauli was born on 20th December, 1982, in Florianópolis. He started sailing at the age of 12 and, at the age of 16, became a professional, winning the first professional event of his career at the age of 18.
Kauli started on the World Circuit, collecting great victories, such as: three-time world Champion in windsurfing in the wave category, in 2005, 2007 and 2008; runner-up in the world, in 2006 and 2009; 11 times brazilian windsurf champion; brazilian stand up paddle champion in 2010.
In 2006, Kauli produced a film that shows his trajectory in sports, `The Little House`. In 2010, Kauli also was part of a program on the Muiltishow channel, `Osso Duro`. In 2011, he was the protagonista of the DVD `Minds Wide Open`, the most revolutionary film of windsurf nowadays.
In 2011, Kauli became the owner of Club Kauli Seadi, located in São Miguel do Gostoso, a place that is a world reference in equipment rental and lessons for windsurfing and kitesurfing, as well as surfing, tennis and stand-up.
Kauli met the oceanographer Nana Seadi, in 2011, and together they presented the Waterman programo n the OFF channel for 5 years. In 2012, Nana and Kauli moved to São Miguel do Gostoso, where together, in 2017, they founded the Kauli Seadi Kite Center, 3 years later, the couple opened the Kauli Seadi Kite Resort.
Kauli chose São Miguel do Gostoso thinking about the future:
`GOSTOSO has excellent sailing every day here in front of our Club and Resort. There are cool people, sun, great weather, beaches and lagoons to enjoy different kinds of water sports, a perfect place for me to live. Well, living in a hotel will help me feel ´on the go`, so it´s not that different from how I live`,
says the athlete who does not think about living elsewhere than São Miguel do Gostoso.
